Meet Jeff Baker – Jeff Baker

I have a background of many years in the high-tech industry and in the corporate world. I decided at one point to do an “about face” and explore the world of business ownership, and I am happy that I made that decision. As a Career Ownership Coach^TM with The Entrepreneur’s Source, I have worked with many who have similar backgrounds as my own. Helping them begin the journey of discovery into a potential new direction, and assisting them in meeting their income, lifestyle, wealth and equity goals has been very satisfying.

As your coach, I am committed to providing a truly safe space for you to begin an exploration of your own and discover the possibilities and opportunities that await you.

Work history.

Having grown up in Silicon Valley from its early years, I have seen many facets of the tech industry. That is also where I “cut my teeth” professionally and have a job history that reads like a “who’s who” with some of the major players in that industry. Some of the companies that were there at the start of the tech boom are still with us. Sadly, many others are not – becoming casualties in an industry that often looks the other way when tragic events and circumstances arise. At some point in my career, I reached a place where I wanted to take more control of my future and start contributing to my own dreams instead of someone else’s. This took a certain amount of time and soul searching as well.

My decision to become a Career Ownership Coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source was an easy one. It was born out of a desire, not only to realize my own dreams and ambitions – but to help others arrive at a similar point of clarity and helping them understand that there may be many doors in a person’s professional life that are waiting to be opened and explored.

Coaching highlights.

I really enjoy the activity of meeting all sorts of people of various geographical locations, backgrounds, and differing interests. Every one of them has a story to tell. Extracting that story is a large part of my role as a Career Ownership Coach. I work to create a safe space where that can be done, and exploring career alternatives can begin. I enjoy facilitating that exploration into what is often new territory for my client. I usually view this as more of a marathon than a sprint – thereby allowing time for careful thought, strategizing, as well as staying at a pace that is comfortable for each person I work with.
